April: Pride of the Valley - Hindhead

This is a personal favorite in terms of local climbs!  Back in the day, and we're only talking 2010, I used to do 4 or 6 reps of this little lump as training for Ironman.  Now I'm pooped out if I do one.  Its technical in that the gradient varies from easy to moderate to steep in the middle lower section.  You have to pace it right for a good time!  Dont be tempted into slogging too hard up that steep section as time can be gained from a full gas effort all the way from the start of the easier slope just after halfway to the top.  Use the Northerly winds.
