Sunday Aug 1st - Casual Road Ride (to be decided)

A  series of shortish rides on Sunday mornings. The aim is be out on a social ride enjoying the lovely country roads, maybe climb one or two demanding hills, be about 2-3 hours with a good coffee stop somewhere along the route. 

 

Event Date: 01 Aug 2010 (Sun), Meet 0815 for 0830 departure

Meeting Place: Weyhill Car Park, Haselmere, Ride Leader: Roger

Ascent: a few hills, nothing to steep or long, Tea Stop:  The Priory Cafe at Cowdray Park - 01730 815152

Avg Speed/Pace Style: casual, 21-24kph, Distance: about 50kph

Route: 

Todays ride is heading towards Petworth via Lurgashall and Upperton - looping around Selham to Midhurst for a coffee stop at The Priory Cafe Cowdray Park. Home over Bexley Hill and Blackdown (ouch).

 

 

Special Notes: 

No one is going to be dropped; we will simply wait at the top of the next hill until everyone is recovered and ready to go. Bring the usual, Money, Food, Gels, Helmet, Puncture repair kit and enough clothing to fend of the seasonal weather.
