Why do you send me emails about road rides when am MTB only?!?!??!!??

Hi,

how do I stop getting emails informing about weekly road rides? I am only MTB off road. So would like to get MTB weekly rides emails instead of road info. How to change this anyone know please. Thanks

new feature

SHR - I believe the club is testing out a new email notification system to replace/supplement the current process of posting rides on the forum etc. The email you received (I got one as well) was probably just to test the system out and eventually you will be able to select which rides you receive notification about, so you won't get emails about road rides if you don't want to.  Until then, it's a case deleting the ones you don't want and as far as I'm aware, there haven't been that many - 2 at most?  In the long run, it will be an improvement over the current system, so just bear with the club whilst things get sorted out.

Cheers

Greg.

subscription list

the website has a number of subscription list that have been on the website for a while, the numbers of people who had subscribed to them has led me to believe that people werent aware of them and not using them.

while these get sorted out, I create a subscription list "all website registered users" which is automatically synced with the list of people who register with the site so I can be sure to notify everybody. Apologies if this has annoyed you, i took the decision to send to all rather than the few who had subscribed to the relevant subscription service.

As Mark says there are a number of subscription lists which you can access from your profile, and you can unsubscribe from the lists that you want. However, this is really an interim measure as very shortly, not sure exactly when as quite busy with work, will introduce a new feature called "groups". This allows us to effectively partition the website in specific interest groups. You can then just focus on the your interest groups and ignore the rest of the club; this feature as subscription lists and notifications built into it, so you can if you want be notified when someone replies to your posting or when someone posts to the forum of your interest group.

thanks, dave
