Well, are they? Will I see any improvement if I fit them to my Avids? Seen some Goodridges ones for about £25 for a set (2 x hoses, banjos etc), so I was wondering if it was worth splashing the cash?

.. might give you more joy, Greg.
On the other hand, you'll probably get so many conflicting views, you'll be none the wiser!
It does get kinda quiet around here at times
. I'm too shy to post on STW...
i'll ask for you if u like greg.
Somethinglike this:
oi toss pots. stop arguing and trying to prove you know everything. My mate greg has a question.
likely response:
Newbie. please use the search forum feature before posting on here/f**ck off.
Hey Greg - i'd be interested to know too! hmmm £25 for a set of goodridge hoses you say - where might one procure such items at said price?
I did fit braided hoses throughout to my old Fiat Coupe. Can't say i noticed the difference but it looked bling from underneath! That probably doesn't help much.
I once fitted Goodridge hoses to a 1970 Triumph Vitesse and I could notice the difference.....or at least I think I could....but the brakes were still crap! I guess that's just quality British motor engineering for you.
Hi Greg,
Did you get any further with the Goodridge Kit for your Avids and are they the Juicy Sevens ?
Thanks
Graham
No, Graham, I didn't follow it through in the end. Too many other bits and pieces to buy!!
Greg.
Urban lore, but I have read in the past that scintered pads generate more heat, and therefore if you are using them for serious DH there's a chance of overheating plastic lines / bulging, and therefore metal/braided would be better. Aren't they a lot heavier though?
