mHealth Grand Tour (www.mHealthtour.com) The Tour is organised by Adam and open to both club members and the general public. It is a big ride across Europe. From Barcelona to Vienna incorporating 2,300km, 33,000m of climb and 4 countries in 15 days riding. You can ride the whole Tour or one of the three stages, each five-days. Each five day stage is a classic:
All of the stages visit some of the most beautiful parts of Europe, mix fantastic riding with a little culture and have a huge amount of variety to keep riders doing the epic interested for the duration. We climb Ventoux, Col de la Bonnette, Col de Lombardie, the Seeburg pass as well as riding along the Med, across the Camargue and over the Po valley (for the people that like the flat!). We also go though 4 world heritage sites (for those interested in cluture!) The ride is signed and fully supported. It isn't competitive - more a 'randonnee' than a 'sportive'- with a wide range of riders taking part from elite to charity riders. Take a look at the website or contact Adam for further details. Adam sent a note over saying he thinks people are most likely to do stages - the improver group would probably really like stage 1. Stage 2 has the most variety (and the biggest climbs) Stage 3 is probably the hardest - The Dolomites and Austria aren't flat so all of the days have lots of climbing. |
