Isle of Wight 2020

Fancy a day trip to the Isle of Wight this spring?

The plan is to meet at the Wightlink ferry terminal in Portsmouth on Saturday 25th April and get the 09:00 ferry over to Fishbourne. From there we'll ride in groups around the island, stop for lunch near Ventnor, and then ride on to the Needles for an ice cream and some group photos before returning to Fishbourne via the chain ferry in Cowes.

The trip will take the whole day once we've got down there and back again.  It'll be a scenic, testing day of riding.

As with all tours and expeditions you are expected to be able to self navigate, GPS routes are given below. Bring appropriate kit for the weather (it can be cold and windy over there, even if the sun is shining), snacks, and the usual tools.

NB: If the weather is appalling, this ride may be postponed. A decision will be made by the Wednesday preceding so please check the calendar posting.

Ride leaders - this ride is open to all. If you want to join, please add a ride listing for your ride level on the calendar to allow people to sign up in the usual way. The aim will be to ferry across together, which should ensure a staggered arrival at the lunch stop.
